MEP Project Surveyor (Quantity Surveyor)

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role ensures the financial success of projects by providing accurate cost estimations, managing contracts and optimising project costs. It is a contract position based on-site at the Bora Tower.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of MEP pre-contract services across concept, schematic and detailed design phases, including measurement, cost planning and production of BoQs for construction projects.
• Assist with preparation of tender and contract documents.
• Contribute to value engineering and viability studies.
• Assess, evaluate and recommend on financial claims and help settle them.
• Assist in evaluating change management, including variations, additional works, field changes, additions and omissions, and incorporate them into monthly cost reports.
• Prepare and price change orders and negotiate agreements with the client and contractor.
• Provide assistance during negotiations, arbitration or other forms of dispute resolution.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Quantity Surveying.
• 5 years of MEP Quantity Surveyor experience in the Middle East.
