MLRO – Money Laundering Reporting Officer

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to own and mature InsuranceMarket.ae’s AML/CFT program. Based in Dubai, you will act as the primary liaison with the Central Bank of the UAE and other FIU channels, providing risk‑based guidance while supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the appointed MLRO, managing FIU interactions, STR/SAR submissions via goAML, and record‑keeping.
• Maintain and enhance the AML/CFT framework, including risk assessments, policies, CDD/EDD, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring for an insurance intermediary.
• Oversee sanctions and PEP screening operations, ensuring quality assurance and audit trails.
• Design and execute AML monitoring plans and thematic reviews across sales, policy administration, claims, and partner onboarding.
• Lead AML/CFT training, maintain training registers, and produce AML management information for leadership and the Board.
• Manage incident logs, remedial actions, and coordinate independent AML reviews and audits.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of AML/financial crime experience, with significant UAE exposure in insurance or related financial services.
• Previous CBUAE MLRO registration or immediate eligibility.
• Deep knowledge of UAE AML/CFT laws, CBUAE regulations, and practical experience with goAML.
• Bachelor’s degree required; AML certifications such as ACAMS or ICA preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with goAML.
• Proficiency in screening/KYC platforms and case management systems.
• Advanced Excel/Sheets or BI dashboard skills for AML reporting.
