Operations Team Leader

About the role

The Operations Team Leader will oversee the daily guest‑facing operations at Yas Waterworld, ensuring a safe, smooth, and memorable experience for all visitors. This role combines leadership, safety management, and operational excellence in a high‑energy water‑park environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train, and schedule front‑line staff, including lifeguards and guest relations officers.
• Conduct pre‑operational inspections of rides, slides, and attractions, reporting any defects.
• Enforce safety rules, departmental policies, and performance standards at all times.
• Perform regular briefings, manage shift handovers, and complete opening/closing checklists.
• Handle guest enquiries and resolve issues beyond the scope of front‑line colleagues.
• Oversee personal development plans, appraisals, and coaching for team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising front‑line hospitality or leisure staff.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear directions.
• Ability to work at heights, in water, and in varied weather conditions.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe operating environment.
