Planning Manager - Rail

About the role

Mace is recruiting a Planning Manager for a rail project in Dubai. The role owns planning standards, integrated master schedules, critical-path analysis and schedule assurance, and works closely with project teams, consultants, contractors and stakeholders. The company states it is open to discussing part-time, flexible and hybrid working options.

Key responsibilities

• Own planning standards, integrated master schedules, critical-path analysis and schedule assurance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules so activities, milestones and dependencies match delivery objectives and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate planning inputs across project teams, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress against approved baselines, track performance, identify variances and highlight emerging risks and opportunities.
• Produce schedule analysis, critical path assessments and forecast updates to support project decisions.
• Integrate planning with cost, risk, change and project controls to keep performance reporting accurate.
• Prepare progress reports, planning deliverables and programme records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with governance requirements.
• Help develop delivery programmes that include safety, logistics, procurement, construction and sustainability considerations.
• Contribute to the net zero carbon transition by proactively identifying and managing carbon emissions and reductions.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent professional experience in the applicable discipline.
• Demonstrated experience on rail, metro, high-speed rail or comparable major infrastructure programmes.
• Knowledge of relevant delivery processes, standards, systems and governance.
• Professional membership, chartership or specialist certification preferred where applicable.
• UAE or wider GCC experience is advantageous but should not replace technical and delivery competence.
