PMC Project Manager

About the role

Wood is looking for an experienced PMC Project Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead and manage the overall execution of a project on behalf of a high-profile client. The role ensures that engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and in line with project specifications, quality standards and contractual requirements. It acts as the main interface between the client, EPC contractors, consultants and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the PMC team from concept through commissioning and handover
• Act as the main point of contact between the client, EPC contractors, consultants, vendors and other stakeholders
• Ensure activities follow the approved scope, budget, schedule, quality standards and contractual requirements
• Develop and implement project execution strategies, plans and management procedures
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and startup activities
• Monitor progress, identify issues and take corrective action to avoid delays or cost overruns
• Manage budgets, cost control, forecasting and financial reporting; review schedules, recovery plans and progress reports
• Establish and maintain risk management processes and monitor contractor and consultant performance
• Lead project review meetings, progress meetings and management presentations
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, quality management processes and regulatory requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, electrical, chemical, process or related); Master's in engineering, construction management, MBA or project management preferred
• Typically 20+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, petrochemical, refinery, offshore, power or major infrastructure projects
• Minimum 8-10 years in project management on large EPC/PMC projects
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and startup activities
• Experience in contractor management, contract administration and stakeholder engagement

Required skills

• Project management methodologies and project controls

• Knowledge of international codes, standards and industry best practices
