PMC Specialist Digitalization Engineer

About the role

The Specialist Digitalization Engineer leads all digitalisation activities within a PMC organisation for offshore oil & gas or renewable energy projects, covering FEED, EPC, commissioning and hand‑over phases. The role ensures the effective use of digital technologies, engineering information management systems, digital twins, BIM/3D models, data analytics and smart asset solutions to improve project execution and lifecycle asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project’s digitalisation strategy and establish digital workflows, standards and governance.
• Lead multidisciplinary digital engineering activities, manage engineering data, document management systems and ensure data quality and compliance.
• Coordinate integration of engineering databases with AVEVA, Hexagon SmartPlant, Bentley, SAP ERP, CMMS, GIS, SCADA, DCS and Historian systems.
• Develop engineering dashboards and KPIs using Power BI, Tableau or equivalent tools and support predictive analytics initiatives.
• Support offshore construction and commissioning teams, ensure digital systems availability and facilitate remote engineering collaboration.
• Review contractor digital deliverables, audit execution plans and ensure compliance with ISO 19650, ISO 55000, ISO 15926 and client digital standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years in Oil & Gas engineering, with at least 8 years on offshore projects.
• Proven experience leading digital engineering teams in FEED and EPC phases.
• PMC experience preferred; experience with ADNOC or similar operators is advantageous.
