Process Applications Engineer

About the role

The Process Applications Engineer will design and develop water and wastewater treatment solutions for industrial and municipal clients, ensuring technical soundness and commercial viability. This role collaborates with cross‑functional teams throughout the sales and delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end RFP/RFQ response, including technical evaluation, content development, pricing strategy and risk mitigation.
• Develop cost‑effective treatment solutions, validate process schemes, and prepare detailed engineering deliverables such as equipment lists, mass balances, and commissioning plans.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, 2D layouts, and tender drawings using AutoCAD.
• Engage with vendors and consultants to obtain quotations, assess technical compliance and incorporate inputs into proposals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or Process Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in process design and proposal development for water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, able to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of DAF, MMF, MBR, MBBR, UF, RO, evaporators and ZLD systems.
• Proficiency in process calculations, system optimization, mass/energy balances, and creation of PFDs and P&IDs.
• Experience with AutoCAD for drafting process schematics and layout drawings.
• Familiarity with cost estimation, equipment quoting and preparation of technical deliverables such as equipment lists and total cost of ownership.
