Production Engineer – Oil & Gas

About the role

We are seeking a Production Engineer to join our upstream team within the ADNOC Group. The role focuses on rig‑less operations, well testing and stimulation to optimise oil, gas and water‑injection wells and support ADNOC’s 2030 sustainability objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and supervise rig‑less operation programs, perforation, kick‑off, stimulation and well‑testing activities.
• Design and execute multi‑rate production/injection and isochronal tests, coordinating with service companies.
• Oversee wireline work, production logging and down‑hole equipment testing, providing preliminary interpretation of results.
• Monitor performance of oil/gas producing, water and gas injection wells, diagnosing issues and recommending workovers.
• Evaluate water‑injection cluster performance and collaborate on long‑term injection tests.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of well history, production and injection statistics.
• Participate in technical studies related to water/gas injection, artificial lift, and facility optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in petroleum engineering, preferably with rig‑less operations and well testing.
• Proven ability to analyse well performance data and propose corrective actions.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with contractors and internal engineering teams.
