Project Director - RTA Road and Infrastructure Projects

About the role

An experienced Project Director is sought for a Dubai-based role leading large-scale road and infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) projects. The director leads overall project delivery, execution strategy, commercial performance, stakeholder management and coordination with RTA authorities so that projects are completed safely, within budget and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall execution and delivery of major RTA road and infrastructure projects.
• Oversee project planning, construction, resource allocation and progress monitoring.
• Manage project budgets, cost control, profitability, cash flow and contractual obligations.
• Maintain strong relationships with RTA authorities, clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Monitor project schedules, resolve critical execution challenges and ensure timely completion.
• Lead project managers, construction teams, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with RTA standards, technical specifications, quality requirements and HSE regulations.
• Ensure successful project handover and achievement of project objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 25-30 years of experience in road construction and infrastructure project management.
• Proven track record of directing large-scale road and infrastructure projects.
• Extensive experience in RTA projects in Dubai is highly preferred, ideally mandatory.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of RTA standards, procedures and project approval requirements.
• Experience managing project budgets, contracts and cost control.
