Project Manager - Electrical Substation EPC

About the role

This Project Manager position covers the full life cycle of electrical substation projects, from initiation to completion. The role owns the project end-to-end, ensuring on-time delivery with good quality and profitability, and involves coordination with the client, consultants, sub-contractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate the project: define the execution strategy and schedule, obtain and approve drawings, prepare the ACE, define the team organisation and mobilise resources.
• Execute the project: deploy resources, manage procurement and logistics, monitor site activities, progress, quality, safety, cost and contractual compliance, and run weekly project reviews.
• Manage the client and consultant: represent the company's interests, share progress reports, obtain approvals and inspections, and handle variations.
• Manage sub-contractors: mobilise their resources, develop their work plan, and monitor quality and safety.
• Handle financial and statutory matters: prepare and review budgets, control costs, achieve sales targets, process claims, and manage contracts and statutory compliance.
• Support the site team, organise social awareness programmes, and report EHS, quality, schedule and cost items to management and the client.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BE Electrical).
• 15 to 20 years of experience in the electrical, civil or mechanical aspects of substation projects.
• Experience managing medium to large EPC projects.
