Project Procurement Lead

About the role

The Project Procurement Lead is the primary procurement representative for industrial/EPC projects, overseeing sourcing, contracting and supplier management from bid through project close‑out. This role bridges engineering, finance, legal and project teams to ensure delivery on cost, quality, schedule and risk targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities for assigned projects from the bid phase through execution and close‑out.
• Coordinate procurement deliverables with project timelines and ensure compliance with governance and reporting standards.
• Develop and execute sourcing and contracting strategies, manage RFQs/RFPs, and conduct commercial evaluations.
• Identify, qualify and manage suppliers, consultants and EPC contractors; negotiate complex commercial terms.
• Prepare contracts, work with legal and contract management teams, and monitor supplier performance against KPIs and contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, planning and legal departments to align procurement with project schedules and milestones.
• Identify supply‑chain risks, support mitigation planning and track procurement budgets and cost evolution.
• Provide guidance to junior procurement staff and drive proactive problem‑solving.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading procurement for large‑scale industrial or EPC projects.
• Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier performance management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and manage project‑related risks.
