Quantity Surveying Manager

About the role

Etihad Airways is looking for a Quantity Surveying Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead landmark projects that improve the experience of its guests, employees and operations. The role covers world-class lounges, airport facilities, engineering and corporate infrastructure, taking projects from idea to closeout.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital projects, refurbishment programmes, fit-outs and asset enhancement initiatives from feasibility to closeout.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers and stakeholder plans to avoid delays and cost overruns.
• Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies and budget forecasts, and administer FIDIC and bespoke contracts, including change control, variations, claims, EOT and final accounts.
• Run value engineering and cost control, and support procurement, BOQs, RFPs and tender evaluation.
• Act as main interface with project teams, business units, airport operators, landlords and regulators.
• Review designs for cost, constructability and lifecycle fit, and ensure compliance with UAE regulations, aviation requirements and HSE policies.
• Manage project reporting, executive presentations and business cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or Project Management; MRICS, PMP, CIOB or AACE certification is highly advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years in project management and quantity surveying, including at least 5 years managing complex projects in aviation, commercial, hospitality, infrastructure or live operational environments.

Required skills

• Advanced project planning and control (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Basic AutoCAD review.
• Advanced QS software such as CostX or equivalent, and MS Excel.
