Quantity Surveyor Engineer – Commercial Measurement & Cost Control

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor Engineer will lead commercial measurement, valuations and cost control activities to ensure profitable project delivery and strict contractual compliance. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors and clients to manage payments, variations and claims throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit interim valuations and payment applications.
• Measure works, maintain Bill of Quantities (BOQ) re‑measurement and manage cost codes.
• Identify, price and substantiate variations, track approvals and ensure proper documentation.
• Administer subcontractor payments, reconcile material costs and produce regular cost reports.
• Support claims and extensions of time (EOT) with commercial substantiation in coordination with planning and contracts teams.

Required profile

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or Engineering; MRICS preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience, preferably in UAE infrastructure contracting.
• Strong understanding of commercial measurement, contract administration and cost control processes.
