Quarry Manager

About the role

A proactive, experienced and results-driven Quarry Manager is sought to oversee all quarry operations in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The role ensures safe, efficient and high-quality production, manages site personnel, coordinates with Sales and Commercial teams, controls operational costs and guarantees compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently and on schedule, balancing customer and sales needs with production capacity
• Adjust production systems and processes to material requirements and demand, and liaise with Sales and Commercial teams
• Set, monitor and manage production KPIs and prepare production reports and performance updates for management
• Manage the quarry budget, monitor expenditure and control operational costs
• Maintain accurate operational records and documentation
• Enforce health and safety policies, conduct site inspections and risk assessments, and ensure corrective actions are taken
• Monitor extraction, crushing, screening, stockpiling and other activities, inspect produced materials and ensure quality standards
• Resolve technical, operational and staffing issues, and coordinate with Mining Engineers to maximise resource recovery
• Monitor equipment, machinery, spare parts and material levels, and ensure vehicles and mobile equipment are maintained and inspected
• Lead, motivate and develop quarry personnel and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in quarry operations, mining or aggregate production management; previous experience as Quarry Manager, Quarry Superintendent or Mine Manager preferred
• Strong knowledge of quarrying processes, extraction methods, crushing and screening operations and aggregate materials
• Comprehensive understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements in quarrying or industrial operations
• Experience managing budgets, operational costs and resources
• Good technical knowledge of quarry machinery, mobile equipment and maintenance
• Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
