Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

About the role

NMC Healthcare is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Emergency Room in Dubai. The nurse works collaboratively with other team members to provide safe, compassionate and individualized care, following the NMC Nursing Strategy, the UAE Code of Conduct, scope of practice and licensure requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about health conditions, and give advice and emotional support to patients and their families
• Assess and identify patient needs, implement and monitor the medical plan and treatment, and work with physicians and allied health professionals
• Perform systematic patient assessment and re-assessment, determine nursing diagnoses and create and evaluate care plans with the interprofessional team
• Record vital signs and escalate abnormalities promptly; manage deteriorating patients using the Early Warning System and emergency algorithms
• Support and supervise pre-registration and new nurses, and participate in teaching, mentorship and clinical supervision of students and returning nurses
• Ensure relevant training and competency, including mandatory training and the NMC Nurse Competency Matrix, and use medical devices only after being skilled and trained
• Report serious and near-miss incidents, cooperate with audits and investigations, and promote quality improvement and patient satisfaction
• Follow infection prevention and control, occupational safety and health, safeguarding and equality and diversity policies

Required profile

• Valid nursing registration and licensure in line with the regulator's scope of practice
• Ability to speak up on safety concerns and act as a patient advocate
• Commitment to continuous learning, mentoring and professional development
