Registrar

About the role

GEMS Education is hiring a Registrar in Abu Dhabi. The role manages student enrolment numbers so that the school meets or exceeds its enrolment budget each academic year, following the GEMS enrolment process and the governing body's rules.

Key responsibilities

• Meet prospective parents to explain admission procedures, curriculum, fees and regulations, and guide those unable to get a place to an alternative GEMS school
• Maintain accurate records of available places and an up-to-date waiting list, aiming for 50 fully assessed students per year group
• Keep the student information OASIS database current every day
• Run annual enrolment processes such as re-enrolment, parent school contracts and student registration on schedule
• Prepare reports for the Principal/CEO and corporate office on enrolments, waiting lists, vacant seats and conversion data, and help with student number projections
• Develop and implement enrolment strategies with the leadership and front-of-house teams to hit budget enrolment targets
• File records for applicants, students and alumni, complete exit documentation and comply with Ministry of Education and ADEK rules
• Follow GEMS policies and codes of conduct, address audit items promptly and perform other duties asked by managers

Required profile

• A college degree (BA or BSc) is desirable
• At least two years in a customer service focused role
• Proven success in meeting sales targets, with the ability to influence the team
• Relationship management experience with peers and the parental community
• Effective written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills in a diverse environment
