Reservation and Revenue Manager

About the role

Minor Hotels, a global hospitality group with over 600 hotels and resorts, is hiring a Reservation and Revenue Manager in Sharjah. The role oversees the Retreats reservations department and maximizes revenue through pricing, inventory management and market analysis, working closely with sales, marketing and the front office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop pricing strategies, monitor market demand and competitor rates, and forecast occupancy to optimize availability and distribution
• Collaborate with sales and marketing on promotions and special offers, and ensure rate parity across OTAs, GDS and direct bookings
• Supervise the reservations team, manage group bookings, VIP requests and special reservations, and enforce cancellation, deposit and payment policies
• Work with the front desk for a smooth check-in and check-out experience
• Oversee the Retreat's OTA presence and manage the company website booking engine, with digital marketing teams improving online visibility and conversion
• Monitor guest reviews, generate daily, weekly and monthly revenue reports, and present forecasts to senior management
• Train the reservations team, develop SOPs, handle guest complaints and escalations, and ensure smooth communication across departments

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years in reservations, front office or revenue management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Office-based role with regular hours, with flexibility during peak seasons and special events

Required skills

• Revenue management systems (RMS) and property management systems (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio or Synxis
• Familiarity with OTAs and GDS
• Proficiency in Excel, data analytics and forecasting tools
• Analytical, leadership and communication skills
