Restaurant Supervisor - In-Room Dining

About the role

The InterContinental Fujairah Resort, located on the Al Aqah Beach shoreline with 190 rooms, event spaces and restaurants, is hiring a Restaurant Supervisor. You will oversee daily In-Room Dining operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, service quality and operational efficiency, and coordinate closely with the kitchen and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily In-Room Dining operations and lead, train and motivate the team to meet departmental objectives.
• Oversee orders from order taking and preparation through delivery, setup and collection, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
• Monitor food and beverage quality, service consistency, hygiene and presentation.
• Handle guest enquiries, special requests and complaints, applying service recovery to maximise satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the Kitchen, Front Office, Housekeeping and other departments.
• Monitor staffing, duty schedules, briefings and task allocation.
• Control operating supplies, equipment and inventory while minimising wastage.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, health and safety and hotel procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, preferably in a supervisory hotel role.
• Previous experience in In-Room Dining or Room Service is required.
• Good command of spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of POS and Opera systems; familiarity with other hotel operating systems is an advantage.
• Guest handling, problem-solving and service recovery skills.
