Scaffolding Manager

About the role

A leading contracting company specialising in civil construction and infrastructure development is looking for an experienced Scaffolding Manager in Dubai. The manager oversees all aspects of scaffolding operations across projects, ensuring the safe and efficient erection, maintenance and dismantling of scaffolding structures.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and design scaffolding: collaborate with project managers and engineers on plans, assess sites to determine the type and amount of scaffolding needed, and ensure designs comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Install and maintain scaffolding: supervise crews during erection and dismantling, conduct regular inspections for hazards and maintenance needs, and coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
• Safety and compliance: enforce safety protocols, run safety training for crews, and stay up to date on scaffolding safety regulations.
• Project coordination: work with project managers and site supervisors to align scaffolding work with other activities, monitor progress and resolve issues promptly.
• Quality assurance: check that installations meet specifications, carry out quality inspections and implement corrective actions.
• Team leadership: lead, train and coach scaffolding crews, give performance feedback, foster a positive environment and resolve conflicts fairly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred.
• Certification in scaffolding safety (e.g. CISRS, OSHA) preferred.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting scaffolding plans and designs.
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
