Sea Logistics Sales Representative (Dubai)

About the role

Kuehne+Nagel is looking for a Sea Logistics Sales Representative in Dubai who will generate new business opportunities with a clear focus on SME customers. The role requires a thorough, up-to-date understanding of the trade lanes, including geography, service offerings such as sailings and transit times, documentation regulations, local standards and the types of goods traded on each route.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities with a focus on SMEs
• Take pricing decisions in line with the Customer Care Managers
• Prepare quotations with online tools and submit proposals to customers
• Demonstrate sea logistics product and trade knowledge and deliver presentations on main products
• Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing and products
• Report customer complaints to the Customer Care Team
• Work with the Customer Care Team when onboarding new customers and complete the Customer Promise/CCL handover form
• Maintain and update customer information in CoreLOG and perform related CRM tasks
• Review customers' portfolios regularly with the CCL managers and Customer Care Team
• Closing customer deals

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a field sales representative in the forwarding or logistics sector
• Reliable, trustworthy and serious demeanour
• Excellent negotiating and closing skills, able to work independently and in an organised way
• Good spoken and written English
• Valid driving licence and able to travel

Required skills

• Very good computer skills, particularly MS Office
• Use of CoreLOG and CRM systems
