Senior Accountant (AR) – Catering

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant specialized in Accounts Receivable for our catering business. The role involves managing AR processes, maintaining accurate records in Tally, and ensuring compliance with statutory and financial requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts, invoices, receipts, and outstanding balances.
• Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports and ageing analysis.
• Follow up with customers for timely payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Perform regular reconciliation of customer accounts.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding invoicing and payment issues.
• Record day‑to‑day accounting entries in Tally ERP/Tally Prime, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions.
• Conduct bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and supporting documentation.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports and MIS.
• Ensure timely completion of accounting and statutory compliance activities, including VAT/GST and tax filings.
• Maintain audit records and support internal and external audit requirements.
• Monitor compliance deadlines and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounting, Tally operations and compliance functions.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and AR processes.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance and financial documentation.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
