Senior Accountant

About the role

KOVI Care Consumer Products is a growing consumer care products company focused on operational excellence, financial stewardship and sustainable business practices. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant in Dubai, UAE, who manages general ledger activities, ensures accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, and oversees accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and fixed asset accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities, prepare and review journal entries, and ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and fixed asset accounting in line with local regulations and internal policies.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports, support budgeting and forecasting, and analyze variances to give actionable insights.
• Coordinate with external auditors and assist with tax-related filings.
• Drive process improvements and internal control enhancements across the finance function.

Required profile

• FMCG industry experience is a must.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA, ACCA or CMA certification is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role, preferably in consumer products or a related industry.
• Familiarity with local UAE accounting, tax and regulatory requirements, or willingness to learn them quickly.
• Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Accounting principles, financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial planning.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
