Senior Architect - Interior Design

About the role

A Dubai-based employer is looking for an experienced Senior Architect with interior design expertise to lead and coordinate architectural and interior design for high-end residential, commercial, hospitality and mixed-use projects. The role covers design from concept through detailed design and execution, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural design from concept to completion for luxury residential, commercial, hospitality and mixed-use projects.
• Prepare and review architectural drawings, design presentations, detailed construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Integrate architecture with interior design, including space planning, layouts, materials, finishes, lighting, furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E).
• Coordinate with interior designers, structural engineers, MEP consultants, landscape architects and other stakeholders.
• Develop and review concepts, space planning, elevations, sections, façades and detailed design proposals.
• Review interior design packages, material boards, finish schedules, joinery details, ceiling layouts, flooring patterns and interior elevations.
• Manage external design consultants, contractors and site teams, and conduct site inspections and design reviews.
• Support procurement, value engineering and compliance with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, accessibility and building code requirements.
• Manage multiple projects, budgets and schedules, and prepare design progress reports and presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• 12-15 years of architectural design experience, with strong exposure to interior design and high-end developments.
• Proven track record of leading projects from concept to handover.
• Experience with luxury real estate developers, consultancies or design-and-build organisations preferred.
• Professional registration or architectural certification is an advantage.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp; Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, construction methods, technical drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of UAE building regulations, Dubai Municipality and Civil Defence requirements.
• Project management, coordination, problem-solving and client management.
