Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

About the role

The company is looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to own end‑to‑end Azure security, design platform architecture and lead performance and reliability engineering for a high‑volume telematics platform.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Azure security controls including Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, network segmentation, private endpoints and Azure Policy as code.
• Design and evolve platform architecture (ingestion, APIs, data stores, web portal) following the Azure Well‑Architected Framework and maintain architecture decision records.
• Lead performance and reliability work such as load testing, autoscaling, caching, database tuning and observability with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code (Bicep or Terraform) and secure CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub, including security gates and dependency scanning.
• Run vulnerability management, penetration‑test remediation and incident response while ensuring compliance with UAE data protection and TDRA/NESA standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years in cloud or security engineering, with at least 3 years hands‑on Microsoft Azure in production.
• Proven delivery of a cloud security assessment or hardening programme and an architecture redesign with measurable results.
• Microsoft Azure Engineer Associate certification or equivalent experience.
• Clear written and spoken English and ability to start within 30 days, currently in the UAE or willing to relocate with visa sponsorship.
