Senior BIM Modeler - Wet Utilities

About the role

Parsons is hiring a Senior BIM Modeler for wet utilities in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to work on major infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing complex layout and design drawings using advanced CAD techniques, working closely with engineers and other designers to ensure coordinated designs that meet company and industry standards and codes.

Key responsibilities

• Use a CAD workstation to prepare complex layout and design drawings.
• Interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards, codes, company policies and procedures.
• Work with engineers and other disciplines to coordinate design systems.
• Develop alternate design layouts of systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with design safety factors, tolerances and specifications.
• Review supplier data and manufacturer drawings, and check orthographic (2D) and isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.
• Perform checking procedures as assigned by the supervisor and assist in training junior designers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Wet utilities experience is required.

Required skills

• Civil 3D, Navisworks, BIM 360 and AutoCAD (essential)
• ProjectWise, Synchro, Bluebeam Studio, Autodesk Inventor Professional, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit Structure and Dynamo (preferable)
• Strong PC and CAD skills and efficiency with design software
