Senior Bridge Engineer

About the role

Egis MESA is seeking a highly motivated Bridge Engineer with 5‑10 years of experience to join its structures team. The role combines technical design of transportation structures with team leadership, client engagement, and cross‑disciplinary coordination to improve local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Complete analysis and design of bridges, retaining walls, and box culverts using engineering software.
• Prepare engineering and design documents, plans, reports, and specifications, taking ownership of projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to define project goals, ensure clear communication, and serve as a client liaison.
• Attend meetings, present solutions, and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Work closely with transportation, environmental, and planning teams to integrate structural solutions into broader project contexts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred) and 5‑10 years of bridge and structures engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and project management experience.
• Strong client communication skills and ability to lead meetings and coordinate diverse stakeholders.
• Established industry relationships and willingness to support proposal efforts.
