Senior C++ Engineer - Radio Frequency Applications

About the role

Tektora is supporting an established defence technology client building radio frequency products in Abu Dhabi and is looking to speak with experienced C++ engineers for its R&D team. The role suits a systems-level C++ engineer close to the hardware, working on real-time, multi-threaded software for RF applications, from design through bring-up to a verified product. It is open to relocation, and the client is considering candidates from outside the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimise and integrate software for radio frequency applications
• Work across the product development lifecycle: inception and design, bring-up, optimisation and verification
• Implement algorithms handed over by domain specialists
• Design and build tests and test interfaces to validate your own code
• Apply sound design principles throughout

Required profile

• 10+ years of proven software development experience
• MSc in Computer Engineering or similar
• Open to relocating to Abu Dhabi

Required skills

• Extensive C++, including modern standards; object-oriented design is a prerequisite
• Extensive Linux experience; Ubuntu desirable
• Multi-threaded, real-time software design, implementation and debugging
• Standard tooling such as Git, Jira or another issue tracker, and Conan or a comparable package manager
• Desirable: C and/or Python, Docker, hands-on lab equipment (signal generators, spectrum analysers, logic analysers, oscilloscopes), and software-defined radio, DSP or another RF-adjacent domain

To apply, send your CV to Tektora, who will then discuss the opportunity, package and relocation support.
