Senior Commercial Manager

About the role

The Senior Commercial Manager will lead cost and commercial management activities across QP's project portfolio, overseeing commercial, financial and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting and administration of project contracts, ensuring alignment with QP's objectives and legal standards.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project budgets, cost control measures, value engineering exercises and financial reporting.
• Identify commercial risks, develop mitigation and contingency plans, and manage claims and disputes.
• Act as primary commercial interface with clients and coordinate with design teams, contractors and regulatory bodies.
• Develop procurement strategies, manage suppliers and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate a team of project delivery professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Economics or related field; MRICS or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 8–10 years of cost/commercial management experience in architecture, engineering, construction or consultancy, across GCC and Europe/MENA.
• Hands‑on experience with FIDIC (or equivalent) contracts and managing high‑rise or hospitality projects.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, excellent negotiation and dispute management skills, and fluent English (Arabic a plus).
