Senior Electrical Engineer - High-Rise MEP Coordination

About the role

A mid-sized contracting firm in Dubai is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to take charge of site execution and MEP coordination on a high-rise building project. The role is site-based and involves working closely with the MEP team, structural engineers and architects to keep services coordinated.

Key responsibilities

• Own the electrical scope on site, from reviewing shop drawings to checking that installed works match the design
• Coordinate daily with the MEP team, structural engineers and architects to avoid clashes
• Lead inspections, snagging walks and handover preparations with consultants and clients
• Review contractor submittals, method statements and material approvals
• Troubleshoot electrical issues on site and mentor junior engineers and site electricians
• Keep an eye on MEP interfaces, especially HVAC, so electrical works stay integrated

Required profile

• At least 8 years of UAE experience, ideally on high-rise projects
• Solid hands-on electrical experience: LV systems, distribution, lighting and containment
• Comfort with site-based work, including reading drawings and coordinating trades
• Nice to have: DEWA and Civil Defence approval experience, BIM coordination familiarity, and an Electrical Engineering degree
