Senior Engineer, Software

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead cross‑functional teams in the design, integration and qualification of RF, power‑electronics and embedded AI solutions for advanced defence and aerospace systems. The role combines hardware, firmware and software expertise to deliver high‑impact, certified products.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for hardware and firmware design, ensuring compliance with MIL‑STD, DO‑178C, IEEE/IEC standards.
• Organise and chair multidisciplinary design reviews and system architecture workshops.
• Define system requirements and integrate RF, digital hardware, AI and embedded control into unified platforms.
• Lead simulation, testing and qualification of power‑electronics, RF and high‑speed digital hardware.
• Oversee the full firmware/software lifecycle from requirements through verification and certification.
• Design and embed AI/ML, computer‑vision and NLP algorithms for real‑time analytics and autonomous decision‑making.
• Drive R&D initiatives, promote model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) and adopt emerging technologies.
• Ensure complete, traceable documentation and mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to technology road‑maps, resource planning and budget alignment.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in technical project management or embedded electronics development within defence/aerospace, preferably missile systems.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional engineering teams and deliver complex electronic sub‑assemblies through full lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of missile/weapon system development and production processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• PMP certification desirable.
• Experience with configuration management, technical reviews, milestones and regulated documentation.
