Senior Infrastructure Analyst (Senior Linux Administrator)

About the role

The Senior Infrastructure Analyst (Senior Linux Administrator) ensures the availability and scalability of technology platforms in collaboration with internal and external teams, meeting current and future business needs in line with prescribed IT measures and ISAs. The role covers platform design, incident resolution, system maintenance and service level monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to IT teams and deliver technology designs for IT projects
• Develop robust technology solutions aligned with ISAs architectural standards, availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance and reliability
• Monitor platform performance and incidents, resolve them and provide workarounds to minimise business impact
• Take part in service continuity planning and implement resulting plans
• Translate logical designs into physical ones, write system specifications, configuration standards, administration processes and operation manuals
• Define user interfaces, validation, error correction, processing rules, access and security/audit controls
• Run benchmark studies, manage the lifecycle and replacement of systems and software, and assess risks and contingency procedures
• Install and remove hardware and software, update configuration records, and develop installation procedures and schedules
• Build and configure software modules, run integration tests and provide feedback
• Maintain application support processes and use application management tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics, generate reports and back up and restore data
• Monitor service desk metrics against agreed service levels and recommend corrective actions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
• ITIL certification
• Fluent English
• Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis for IT investments
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to deliver against business strategy and KPIs

• CCNP, CCIE or MCSE certification
