Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

A cybersecurity services provider in the Middle East is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer based in Dubai. The engineer maintains the Help AG MSS infrastructure, covering Windows and Linux servers, switches and firewalls, domain services, Office 365, WAF, VMware, storage and backup, and other business-specific applications. Notice period is immediate to 15 days.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the health and availability of all systems and components, and troubleshoot issues with servers and applications in Linux and Microsoft environments.
• Cycle patching and deploy urgent and critical patches, updating the system regularly and submitting a monthly report.
• Provide support for the MSS IT infrastructure and manage policy, configuration and optimization of all systems.
• Develop and document internal IT infrastructure, and perform weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks and reporting.
• Manage the virtualization environment and backup solutions, and build and manage infrastructure in public clouds Azure and OCI.
• Automate operational tasks and the provisioning of new customers and services across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Integrate and administer Linux and Windows platforms, integrate cybersecurity technologies in an agile environment, and support continuous testing, integration and deployment.
• Assist onboarding with installation, configuration, troubleshooting and remediation, and help build a new cybersecurity services platform.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in information security or an IT-related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience working with IT infrastructure and servers.
• Relevant certifications and other infrastructure technology certifications.
• Excellent, accent-free English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Microsoft domain and Active Directory.
• Strong Linux administration.
• Network security technologies such as firewall and WAF.
• VMware virtualization.
• Proper documentation and diagramming.
