Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer manages and optimizes the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring stability, security and efficient operation across its systems. The role covers on-premises, virtualization, public cloud and cybersecurity work, and is based in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Manage health and availability of all systems and components, and troubleshoot issues on Linux and Microsoft servers and applications
• Perform regular and urgent patching, update systems with security patches and submit monthly reports
• Provide support for the MSS IT infrastructure and manage policy and configuration management
• Develop and document internal IT infrastructure, and carry out weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks and reporting
• Manage virtualization environments, backup solutions and public cloud infrastructure (Azure and OCI)
• Automate operational tasks and the provisioning of new customers and services across cloud and on-premises environments
• Integrate cybersecurity technologies in an agile environment and support continuous testing, integration and deployment of platforms
• Assist with onboarding, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and remediation, and help build a new cybersecurity services platform

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in information security or an IT-related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience with IT infrastructure and servers
• Relevant certifications in infrastructure technologies
• Fluent English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous

Required skills

• Strong understanding of Microsoft domain and Active Directory
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls and WAF
• Experience with virtualization environments such as VMware
• Nice to have: cybersecurity technology experience, cloud service management tools, and agile project management knowledge
