Senior & Junior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

A leading contracting company in Dubai, working on high-rise building, Riverton and villa projects, is hiring both a Senior Quantity Surveyor and a Junior Quantity Surveyor through its recruitment partner Careers International. The Senior QS manages cost control, quantities, contracts and commercial matters; the Junior QS supports take-offs, cost estimates and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage quantity surveying and commercial activities from pre-construction to completion
• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs and quantity take-offs
• Review contract documents, drawings, specifications and scope of work
• Monitor project costs, variations, claims and subcontractor payments
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders and cost reports
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants and subcontractors, and review subcontractor quotations
• Conduct progress measurements and prepare interim payment applications
• Maintain cost control reports and project financial records, and support contract administration and handover
• (Junior QS) Assist with take-offs, cost estimates, variation reports and payment applications, maintain cost records, coordinate with site engineers and support the Senior QS

Required profile

• Senior QS: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field, minimum 8+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, strong experience in high-rise, residential and villa projects, UAE contracting experience preferred
• Junior QS: Bachelor's or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field, minimum 2-4 years of experience, experience in high-rise, residential and villa projects preferred

Required skills

• Senior QS: good knowledge of contracts, BOQ, estimation and cost control; strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Junior QS: basic knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off and construction costing; good communication and documentation skills
