Senior Manager – Assessment

About the role

RAKMHSU is seeking an experienced assessment professional to lead its Office of Academic Assessment and Evaluation. The Senior Manager will guide a dedicated team, enhance assessment and examination practices, and drive digital innovation and responsible AI use within the university.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the academic assessment team, ensuring high‑quality examination processes.
• Oversee item analysis, question‑bank management, results processing, blueprinting, standard setting and examination security.
• Drive digital process improvements using assessment software, student information systems and learning management platforms.
• Evaluate and implement responsible AI solutions, manage data confidentiality, bias risk and human oversight.
• Collaborate with academic units, interpret assessment data and support change management during exam periods.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Medical Education, Educational Measurement or related field (Doctorate preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in higher‑education assessment, quality assurance or examination management.
• At least 5 years in a senior management or supervisory role within a university.
• Hands‑on experience with item analysis, question‑bank management and examination governance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation and integrate AI or data analytics into assessment operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with assessment software and statistical analysis tools.
• Experience using student information systems and learning management platforms.
• Knowledge of AI governance, data confidentiality and bias mitigation.
