Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Julphar is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for equipment maintenance in its pharmaceutical business in Ras Al Khaimah. The role ensures the reliable operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of pharmaceutical production equipment in line with GMP, safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
• Maintain and troubleshoot tablet, liquid (syrups/suspensions) and semi-solid (cream/ointment) manufacturing equipment
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement CAPA
• Support equipment qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ)
• Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs and safety standards
• Prepare and review maintenance SOPs and documentation
• Coordinate with Production, QA and Engineering on maintenance planning and shutdown schedules
• Monitor spare parts inventory and request procurement when needed
• Take part in internal and external audits and lead continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Mechanical diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing maintenance
• Strong knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements
• Hands-on experience with OSD manufacturing equipment
