Senior MEP Manager - Museum Development

About the role

Al-Futtaim Real Estate is looking for a Senior MEP Manager to lead all Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) engineering activities across a museum development project, from design development through testing, commissioning and handover. The role ensures compliance with codes, standards and regulations while working closely with the Project Director, consultants, contractors and authorities to meet quality, budget and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead MEP activities from concept to handover, set the delivery strategy and advise senior project leadership
• Review and approve design submissions, coordinate MEP with architecture and other disciplines, and support value engineering
• Provide technical oversight of on-site MEP works, monitor contractors and resolve construction issues
• Coordinate authority approvals, inspections and comments with Dubai and UAE authorities
• Coordinate fire protection, alarm and emergency systems with Civil Defense requirements
• Contribute to sustainability and LEED goals, including energy and water efficiency and renewable energy options
• Lead MEP requirements for museums and exhibitions, including environmental conditions for displays
• Oversight of HVAC, cooling plant and environmental control systems
• Support procurement, review contractor proposals and define MEP scope in contracts
• Lead testing, commissioning and handover, including O&M manuals and asset information

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
• 20+ years of experience in major building and infrastructure projects, preferably in museums
• Experience managing MEP delivery on large-scale, complex projects
• Strong understanding of UAE regulations and energy efficiency requirements
