Senior Officer - Capacity Management

About the role

flydubai is looking for a Senior Officer for Capacity Management in Dubai. The role provides guidance and supervises team members on cargo capacity management on a shift basis and on a regular morning pattern, evaluating daily capacity utilization and bookings for flights departing Dubai airports so that revenue is maximized.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of capacity management staff working in shifts to process cargo capacity requests across the flydubai Cargo network while protecting revenue objectives.
• Manage capacity usage and service quality on a shift basis, and assist the Line Manager with weekly cargo capacity performance data.
• Plan and schedule Road Feeder Services (RFS) by identifying trucking gateways, liaise with Procurement to negotiate terms and finalize trucking agreements, and coordinate ad hoc flight capacity and bookings.
• Monitor allotments and approvals of capacity requests, manage capacity forecasts on inbound and outbound flights including overbooking limits, and deliver customer capacity commitments to cargo distributors.
• Intercept and decide on customer service, interline partner and stakeholder queries, and liaise with the Cargo Pricing team to optimize revenue on managed flights.
• Prepare the Sales Prognosis Report regularly, give feedback to the Line Manager to improve the revenue management system, support annual budget planning, and analyze cost-effective budget achievement.
• Review space allocation requests for oversized packages and support Supervisors in decision making; make critical decisions in the absence of the Senior Manager Revenue Optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (3+ years).
• 5 to 7 years of experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
• Customer focus, teamwork, effective communication, personal accountability, resilience and flexibility.
• Reads and complies with the company's ISR policies, reports incidents to the Line Manager or Information Security team, completes ISR awareness sessions and follows the associated guidelines.
