Senior Officer – Treasury

About the role

Rak Bank is seeking a Senior Officer for its Treasury Operations team, focusing on the Fixed Income Desk. The role oversees the full post‑trade lifecycle of Treasury and Investment products, ensuring accurate settlement, reconciliation and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and authorize treasury transactions, confirming trade economics, settlement instructions and counterparties.
• Process secondary market transactions for government bonds, corporate bonds, sukuk, treasury bills, M‑Bills, EMTN and other debt securities.
• Manage end‑to‑end equity purchase and sale settlements.
• Monitor and process fixed‑income lifecycle events such as coupon payments, maturities, redemptions and call events.
• Handle repo and reverse‑repo trades from validation through settlement, collateral monitoring and interest calculations.
• Perform daily reconciliations of securities positions, custodian statements, Nostro accounts and general‑ledger balances.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities and ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations and internal policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in Treasury Operations, Securities Operations or Capital Markets.
• Hands‑on experience with bonds, sukuk, treasury bills, equities, repo and reverse‑repo products.
• Strong understanding of securities settlement processes and post‑trade lifecycle management.
• Experience working in a regulated banking environment.

Required skills

• SWIFT messaging and settlement processes.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, Finacle, Euroclear and Clearstream platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
