Senior Server Administrator

About the role

A reputable hospitality organization in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced Senior Server Administrator to join its IT Infrastructure team. The role manages and maintains the Microsoft server environment, ensuring high availability, security and optimal performance of critical business systems. It suits someone with extensive experience in Microsoft server administration, Active Directory and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and optimize the Microsoft server infrastructure
• Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, organizational units and security permissions
• Support and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related Microsoft business applications
• Monitor server performance, availability and infrastructure health
• Handle server installation, configuration, upgrades, patch management and migrations
• Manage virtualization environments and storage solutions where applicable
• Implement backup, disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
• Troubleshoot server, network and infrastructure issues and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors, prepare technical documentation and take part in upgrades, refresh initiatives and digital transformation projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft server administration in an enterprise environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies and enterprise server environments
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills

• DNS, DHCP and Microsoft networking services
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 administration and support
• Virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V) highly desirable; familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure and hybrid environments is an advantage
• Backup, disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Preferred certifications: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, Dynamics 365 Fundamentals, MCSE (legacy), VCP or ITIL Foundation
