Structure / Composite Technician

About the role

The Structure / Composite Technician performs maintenance, repair and modification of aircraft structural components in line with approved maintenance data, safety standards and regulatory requirements. The role works with sheet metal, composites and other structural materials to keep aircraft components airworthy and structurally sound.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural repairs, replacements and modifications on aircraft component assemblies
• Carry out composite repair including resin injection, lay-up and curing, plus precision post-repair buffing and finishing
• Fabricate replacement parts using fiberglass, resin and other composite materials
• Inspect components for damage, corrosion, fatigue and wear
• Interpret and follow engineering drawings and technical manuals (CMM, AMM, SRM)
• Fit and install structural parts using sheet metal and composites
• Operate tools such as riveters, drills, shears, brakes and grinders safely
• Document maintenance actions accurately and report discrepancies and safety issues to P&C Leaders
• Work with Method Engineers, P&C Leaders, Inspectors and other technicians within set timelines, and maintain a clean, safe, 5S-compliant workspace

Required profile

• Diploma or apprenticeship in aircraft maintenance or equivalent training with a reputable MRO, airline or approved maintenance organization
• 5+ years of experience as an Aircraft / Component / Engine Technician with an airline or MRO
• Preferred experience with aircraft components such as nacelles, radomes and flight surface modules
• Moderate proficiency in English, verbal, written and comprehension
