Senior Specialist Demand Planning

About the role

Talabat is seeking a Senior Specialist in Demand Planning to lead forecasting and import shipment planning across MENA markets. You will work closely with commercial, finance, and operations teams to ensure product availability while minimizing costs and demurrage.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate demand forecasts using sales data, market trends, promotions and category insights for the Import Shipments portfolio.
• Plan inbound containers and stock levels for a 3‑6 month pipeline, ensuring adequate stock cover.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for import shipment clearance, driving process governance and zero demurrage.
• Prepare and present demand planning reports and dashboards, automating reporting with BI analytics.
• Define and enforce DOH policies, monitor inventory shrinkage and improve SKU availability.
• Collaborate with commercial teams on promotions planning and with warehouse teams on DC KPIs.
• Manage supplier discussions on availability and fill‑rate, and lead cross‑functional S&OP sessions.
• Lead projects that improve supply‑chain processes and metrics across MENA countries.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of hands‑on experience in supply‑chain planning, forecasting, import shipments, DC planning and inventory management.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and drive continuous process improvement.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience preparing dashboards and reports.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings to senior stakeholders.
