SFMC Lead – Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Lead to define and own the technical strategy, architecture and optimisation of our enterprise marketing automation platform. The role will focus on platform scalability, governance and data‑driven personalisation rather than day‑to‑day campaign execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and performance optimisation of SFMC modules such as Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio and Cloud Pages.
• Design scalable frameworks, reusable automations and governance processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Integrate SFMC with Salesforce CRM and other enterprise systems using APIs, connectors and custom integrations.
• Develop personalised audience segments and dynamic content using AMPscript, SSJS and SQL.
• Create intelligent journeys and automated workflows with monitoring, alerts and performance reporting.
• Enforce data‑privacy regulations (GDPR, CAN‑SPAM) and manage audience consent.
• Collaborate with CRM, IT and Marketing teams to align data models and technical road‑maps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of overall Salesforce experience and at least 5 years of hands‑on SFMC technical work.
• Proven track record of integrating SFMC with Salesforce CRM.
• Strong documentation, troubleshooting and leadership abilities.
• Relevant certifications (SFMC Developer, Consultant, Administrator) are a plus.
