Shop Supervisor - Garrett Popcorn

About the role

Alabbar Enterprises & ANOTHER, a UAE-based retail group representing brands such as Candylicious, Ethan Allen, Yogurtland and Garrett Popcorn, is hiring a Shop Supervisor in Dubai. The supervisor assists the Brand Operations Manager in leading a team within an assigned store, optimising sales, products, staff and operations to deliver budgeted financial performance, and creates a unique shop experience for customers and employees.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team, orient, train, monitor and coach staff, evaluate on-the-job performance and ensure staff productivity and grooming meet brand standards
• Meet service standards and sales goals, and set an example for employees
• Work on the selling floor, helping customers choose products and suggesting additional items
• Follow register and cash-handling policies and promote brand image and housekeeping standards
• Take part in inventory management: receiving, transfers, pricing, product counts and physical inventories
• Work on displays, keep merchandise clean and in stock, and ensure promotions are accurate
• Analyse weekly and monthly sales reports, identify consumer trends and monitor local competitors
• Use IT to record sales figures, attend store meetings and training sessions, and uphold safety and health standards

Required profile

• At least 3-5 years of experience in retail confectionery in the UAE and GCC
• Effective communication in English and excellent people management skills
• Knowledge of retail operations and excellent physical fitness
• Flexible working hours (day/night) and a high standard of personal hygiene
• Team player able to work under pressure in a busy store
