Site Engineer - Ports / Marine Construction

About the role

Waagner Biro Bridge Services, a construction engineering firm active across Dubai and the UAE, is looking for a motivated and experienced Site Engineer to support the EPC execution of marine and coastal construction projects. The engineer supervises site activities, coordinates subcontractors and resources, ensures compliance with project specifications and maintains high standards of safety, quality and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily marine construction activities and the site workforce.
• Ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, survey teams and marine plant operations.
• Monitor productivity, progress and resource use against project schedules.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues.
• Inspect sites, check quality compliance and ITPs, and prepare progress reports, daily records and completion documentation.
• Coordinate materials and verify their availability.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, company procedures and client requirements.
• Support planning, commissioning, testing and handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of site engineering experience in marine construction, infrastructure or EPC projects.
• Previous UAE project experience is important; experience on Abu Dhabi Ports projects (port infrastructure, terminals, quay walls, jetties, breakwaters, dredging, waterfront) is highly preferred.
• Experience with EPC contractors on large-scale marine infrastructure and managing multiple work fronts in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Familiarity with international construction standards and HSE requirements.
• Experience working with marine equipment, subcontractors and site-based project delivery teams.
