Social Worker

About the role

The British International School Abu Dhabi is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable Social Worker to support students' social, emotional, behavioural and academic wellbeing. The postholder works with families, staff and external agencies so that every child can thrive, and contributes to the school's inclusive and supportive culture. Key responsibilities

• Provide individual and group support to students
• Contribute to intervention planning
• Assist with crisis response and safeguarding matters
• Promote positive partnerships between home and school
• Help identify and address barriers to learning and support student engagement and wellbeing
• Ensure appropriate support systems are in place for students and families

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Services or a related field
• At least two years' experience in youth-related social work, ideally in an educational setting
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, families, colleagues and external agencies
• Ability to maintain accurate records, manage sensitive situations professionally and contribute to an inclusive school culture
