Spa Treatment Supervisor

About the role

The Spa Treatment Supervisor at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi supervises the daily operations of the spa treatment area, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and high service standards. The role reports to the Spa Operations Manager and sits within the Spa & Wellness department.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of service throughout the spa by therapists and supervise their performance
• Own the departmental training plan, training and assessment of therapists, recorded in the relevant areas, and liaise with the Learning & Development Department on training needs and attend meetings when required
• Organise LQE and Forbes refresher training and ensure best practices are followed
• Manage stock control, stock takes and orders of professional products, amenities and tools, and control spa linen stock and its condition
• Keep treatment rooms clean and hygienic in line with FHLSS and hygiene legislation
• Assist with and perform demonstrations and events, and help the Spa Operations Manager with marketing plans, promotions and events
• Motivate therapists, report on team ambience and morale, and guide struggling therapists on upselling
• Perform treatments to the highest standards, conduct SOP and P&P training, and check spa equipment regularly
• Help achieve sales targets and control operational supplies

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a luxury spa or wellness environment
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred; resort experience is a plus
• Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a team of spa therapists
• Excellent guest service and communication skills

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of spa treatments, massage techniques, body treatments and wellness services
• Ability to lead and coach a team of therapists
