Specialist Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist – UAE Government

About the role

A leading government healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist/Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join its advanced cardiac care team. The role involves delivering expert anesthetic care for complex cardiac and cardiothoracic procedures in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthetic management for coronary artery bypass, valve, aortic and other cardiac surgeries.
• Conduct detailed pre‑operative assessments of patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
• Perform intra‑operative hemodynamic monitoring and advanced cardiovascular anesthetic management.
• Utilise and interpret advanced monitoring techniques, including transesophageal echocardiography where qualified.
• Manage peri‑operative complications and care for critically ill cardiac patients in intensive care settings.
• Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, perfusionists and nursing teams.
• Participate in emergency cardiac surgical services, clinical audits, quality improvement and continuing professional development.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD or equivalent medical qualification with recognised postgraduate training in Anaesthesiology.
• Fellowship or advanced training in Cardiac/Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia preferred.
• Significant post‑specialisation experience in cardiac anaesthesia, preferably in a tertiary cardiac centre.
• Internationally recognised board certification (UK CCT/FRCA, US Board, Australian/FANZCA, South African specialist) is encouraged.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to patient safety.
