Staff Nurse – Interventional Radiology (TP)

About the role

Provide support and assistance across a range of medical procedures within the Medical Imaging department at American Hospital Dubai. The role involves aiding in various interventional radiology and imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in execution and monitoring of Nuclear Medicine Cardiac Stress Tests.
• Perform renal creatinine blood tests using point‑of‑care testing (POCT).
• Assist with gastrostomy tube changes or replacements.
• Handle implanted ports: insertion, accessing, blood sampling, flushing, locking, and non‑coring needle removal.
• Support lumbar punctures, paracentesis, percutaneous liver biopsies, and percutaneous nephrostomy tube insertions.
• Provide care for peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC), including blood sampling, dressing changes, flushing, locking, and drug administration.
• Assist in administration of moderate sedation and procedures such as thoracentesis and transjugular liver biopsies.
