Staff Nurse – Obstetrics & Gynecology Clinic (TP)

About the role

The American Hospital in Dubai is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse for its Obstetrics and Gynecology (TP) Clinic. You will provide direct, patient‑centered care to adolescent, adult and geriatric women, supporting a wide range of gynecological procedures and monitoring activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver age‑specific nursing care using the nursing process and conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
• Assist in gynecological procedures such as colposcopy, cryotherapy, endometrial biopsy, Bartholin cyst excision, cervical cerclage and polyp removal, IUD insertion/removal, and implant management.
• Perform Cardiotocography (CTG) monitoring and support diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
• Coordinate patient care plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure timely transfers when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation, manage supplies and equipment, and uphold safety and infection‑control standards.
• Participate in JCIA mandatory education, staff meetings, unit committees, and continuous quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with experience in obstetrics, gynecology or women’s health.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to recognize subtle clinical cues.
• Effective communicator who can involve patients, families and healthcare providers in care planning.
• Commitment to maintaining clinical competency and adhering to accreditation standards.
